Sleep Space Placement

Tips for positioning your Nodiee, keeping cables out of reach, and creating a calm, clutter-free sleep environment.

Your baby’s sleep space should always be safe, calm, and free of hazards. Correct placement of your Nodiee helps:

  • Reduce risks from cords, overheating, or entanglement
  • Keep the sleep area clear of clutter and fire hazards
  • Create a consistent, soothing environment that supports better rest

Placement Guidelines

Safe Distance is Key

Never place the machine or cable inside, on, or directly next to your childs cot, bassinet, crib, bed, or pram. A minimum 1-metre distance prevents:

  • Strangulation hazards from cords
  • Overheating if airflow is blocked
  • Accidental entanglement or injury

Keep Cords Out of Reach

USB cables can pose strangulation or entanglement risks. Always keep them tucked behind furniture, clipped securely, or placed where little hands cannot reach.

Place on a Stable Surface

Place your Nodiee on a hard, open, stable surface such as a dresser or side table. Do not place it on beds, couches, shelves or anywhere it might tip over.

Create a Clutter-Free Zone

Keep toys, blankets, curtains, and soft furnishings away from the device and cable. This improves airflow, reduces fire hazards, and helps create a calmer sleep space.

Good Placement Examples

✅ On a dresser, at least 1 metre from the cot
✅ On a bedside table (for parents), with sound carrying gently into baby’s room
✅ On a bookshelf or ledge, stable and out of reach
✅ Hanging securely by the clip or string (On-The-Go model), never loose on fabric

What to Avoid

❌ Inside the cot, bassinet, crib, or pram

❌ On pillows, bedding, or other soft surfaces that block ventilation
❌ Near flammable fabrics like curtains, blankets, or plush toys
❌ With cables draped loosely where children could grab, pull, or trip over them
