Battery Care & Lithium-Ion Tips

Extend the life of your Nodiee, charge it correctly, and recycle responsibly when it’s time for an upgrade.

Nodiee uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the same technology found in smartphones and laptops. With the right care, these batteries are safe, efficient, and long-lasting. Poor charging habits or exposure to extreme conditions, however, can shorten their life, reduce performance, or cause overheating.

Best Practices for Longer Battery Life

Charge Only as Needed

Lithium-ion batteries work best with shorter, regular charges. Once your Nodiee is fully charged, unplug it to prevent unnecessary strain on the battery.

Avoid Extreme Temperatures

Heat can cause the battery to degrade or swell, while very cold conditions can reduce efficiency. Always store and charge at room temperature for best results.

Stop if Something Seems Wrong

If the battery or cable feels very hot, smells unusual, leaks, or swells, stop charging immediately. Switch off the device, disconnect it, and contact support.

Battery Safety Reminders

  • Always use the supplied Nodiee USB-C cable and a certified 5V = 1A (5W) adapter. Other cables or high-watt chargers can damage the battery and void your warranty.
  • Do not charge your Nodiee on soft surfaces like beds or couches, and never cover it while charging. This can trap heat and increase the risk of fire.
  • Never leave your Nodiee charging unattended overnight. It is best to charge during the day and unplug once complete.
  • Handle cables with care. Avoid bending, twisting, or crushing the connectors.
  • Switch off your device from the bottom power switch when not in use. Even if lights or sounds are off, leaving it in standby mode can still slowly drain the battery.

Recycling & End of Life

All lithium-ion batteries eventually reach the end of their usable life. When that happens, they must be recycled properly — never placed in household rubbish.

  • Take your old device or cable to a local e-waste collection point
  • Many councils and retailers offer free battery recycling drop-offs
  • Recycling ensures harmful materials are handled safely and valuable metals are reused
